2019 Sleeping Lady Mountain Lions Club Scholarships
The Sleeping Lady Mountain Lions Club Foundation is pleased to offer scholarship opportunities to Chugiak- Eagle River area graduating seniors. Available scholarship amounts are determined by proceeds from the annual Sleeping Lady Mountain Lions Scholarship Fundraiser.
Applicant must be a 2019 graduating senior in in the Chugiak-Eagle River school system with a minimum 2.5GPA. The student must live in the Chugiak- Eagle River community. Awards are for full time students, in any course, which leads to a certificate or degree in and apprenticeship program; trade; technical or vocational school; or an accredited college/university.

Completed Scholarship Application Form;
Personal Essay not exceeding two pages, double spaced; “How have you made a difference in your
Community through Volunteerism?”
Transcript (signed by guidance counselor);
Copy SAT/ACT or Work Keys;
Two letters of recommendations (academic/school and work/volunteer reference);
Optional statement regarding any additional information to be considered by scholarship committee.
Available for an interview if selected as a scholarship finalist.

All documentation will be considered and kept confidential. The Scholarship Committee will select the finalists based upon the merits of this application. Selection will be based on citizenship/volunteerism, academics, leadership and need. Scholarship awards will be announced during Senior’s Award Night.
Prior to scholarship award disbursement, the recipient must submit verification of college/school enrollment.
All scholarship awards will be made payable to the accredited educational institution not the recipient. All awards
