2025 ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT

EAGLE RIVER/CHUGIAK COMMUNITY

SUNDAY APRIL 20TH, 2025 @ 1:00PM
EAGLE RIVER LIONS PARK
bring non-perishable food items for our local food bank and be entered into a raffle to win a gift basket.
Please come early and be at the age designated hunt areas by 12:45pm to assure you child gets to participate and gather eggs. Horn will sound promply at 1:00pm and egg gathering is over rather quickly.
Please dress your children appropriate for Weather.
Please bring a bag or basket for each child to gather their eggs.
Open each Egg before leaving to look for a ticket for special prizes and bring the ticket to the prize location.

The Sleeping Lady Mt. Lions Club of Eagle River along with the Eagle River Lions, Alaska Centennial Veteran’s Lions Club, Sno-X Lions, Elks, VFW and our local Fire Department will once again be hosting our Easter Egg Hunt this year on April 20, 2025 at 1 pm.

SLML ANNUAL PROJECTS, SOCIALS AND FUNDRAISER:

Below are just some of the annual projects by the SLML.

VOA - ARCH HOME

SLML provides a variety of support to ARCH including holiday dinners, Christmas gifts, bedding, graduation backpacks and other Misc. needs.

Adolescent Residential Center for Help (ARCH) is an intensive, residential treatment program for chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders. Located in Eagle River, the facility houses 24 residents ages 13 through 18 depending upon the individual needs of patients.

COMMUNITY EASTER EGG HUNT

This event is sponsored by multiple non-profit organizations in our community, and is coordinated by the SLML. Kids come from all over the municipality and Mat-su Valley to enjoy finding eggs, seeing the Easter bunny and winning prizes.

HOPE COMMUNITY RESOURCES

We annually participated in the Walk for Hope event for over 30 years, supporting Hope Community Resources and our community members who experience disabilities. Always a good time!

SENIOR BINGO

We host bingo at the Chugiak Senior Center on the first Monday of each month. The Seniors enjoy playing bingo and winning prizes. If we miss a week, they are so disappointed plus our members enjoy spending time with our Seniors.

LIONS VISION SCREENING

Every Fall the SLML coordinate with our local elementary schools and provide vision screening days for students. We also provide vision screening at the Alaska State fair.

LION JULY 3RD COMMUNITY CELEBRATION

The Eagle River Lions club host their annual July 3rd Independent Day celebration for the community. Come out and enjoymusic, vendors, beer garden, kids activities and a fantastic firework display. The SLML hosted the face and hair painting booth and also provided vision screening and help ER Lions whereever needed.

The event is named in memory of the project visionary "Lion Finis Sheldon".
