The Shirley Littleton Legacy Scholarship is available to graduating High School Seniors attending Chugiak or Eagle River High Schools who give of themselves through community service.  The receipent is chosen by the SLML scholarship committee and based on the same criteria and application process as our High School Senior scholarships.  Please see the "High School Senior's" page for more information and scholarship criteria

The Shirley Littleton Legacy Scholarship is given out in memory of former Lion member Shirley Littleton who passed away October 24, 2018. Born and raised in Montana, Shirley arrived in Alaska in 1964, opening her own accounting business. Service to community was essential throughout Shirley’s life. A lifetime member of Sleeping Lady Mountain Lions Club, Shirley held all cabinet positions in her club, as well as in the Lions District 49A. She was especially proud of being the first female Lions District Governor in Alaska. She received several Melvin Jones awards, the International Lions Clubs highest honor.

Shirley was the driving force behind starting the Sleeping Lady Mountain Lions scholarship program and for that we want to honor her with this scholarship.
