SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION AND GUIDELINE AVAILABLE ON THE "HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR PAGE" 

The Vi Thomson Scholarship is available to graduating High School Seniors attending Chugiak or Eagle River High Schools who give of themselves through community service.  The receipent is chosen by the Thomson family and based on the same criteria and application process as our High School Senior scholarships.  Please see the "High School Senior's" page for more information.

The Vi Thomson Memorial Scholarship is given out in memory of former Lion's member Vi Thomson.  Born and raised in Germany, Vi became an American Citizen in 1976 after she married her husband John.  When she was 14, she and her family escaped East Germany and lived in a refugee camp in West Berlin for 2 years.  Vi always felt education was something that everyone should have a chance to achieve.  As a lion, Vi cherished working with our scholarship program to help those wanting to fulfill their dream of an education and volunteering in her community.

In her memory, her family continues to provide this scholarship to deserving seniors.
